Canna Ask You, Circa Suicide?: The Grower, Model, and Advocate

The cannabis advocate, model, and Suicide Girl, Circa Suicide is making waves when it comes to cannabis-infused photography and modeling.

But who is Circa Suicide, really?

In this Canna Ask You interview, we delve into Circa Suicide’s relationship with modeling, cannabis, and how to accidentally gain weight on a juice cleanse.

There are so many beautiful photos of you posing with cannabis. When it comes to your modeling work, and any other artistic work outside of modeling, how do you feel that smoking weed has inspired your creative process?

“I love smoke. I love the way it travels and floats and creeps and dissipates. I love the way it looks in lights. I love glossy eyes. I love that whole Stoney look, and that can be shot a million different ways. It also helps chill me out and get my thoughts in order to figure out what I wanna shoot.”

.

How long have you been using cannabis? How do you feel it’s affected your life so far?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“I’ve been using cannabis for a solid 7 years now. I dabbled a little in high school but wasn’t crazy about it. It’s affected my life in the best ways. It brought me into the cannabis industry across the country. I’ve made a lot of my incredible friends over a blunt. But most importantly it’s saved my life health wise. I have a lot of digestive issues, auto immune issues and a few other health problems that cannabis relieves the symptoms of. If it weren’t for cannabis I’d probably still be really sick and stuck on pills. Cannabis has opened my eyes to a whole new, better, healthier world.”

.

Do you feel that you smoke weed mostly for medical reasons, recreational reasons, or a combination of both?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“Definitely a combo of both but more for the medical reasons. I love love love smoking with my friends, I love bullshitting over a blunt and coffee… I’ll smoke even if I feel okay. But most of the time I don’t realize I don’t feel good and that I need to medicate until it’s too late.”

.

What’s your favorite way to consume? Flower, vape, edibles, etc.?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“Vape and edibles/tincture are my favorite. Like I said before, I love smoke and I love smoking but it really hurts my throat and lungs a lot. Doesn’t stop me, but I def prefer to medicate other ways 🙂 even the vape can be too harsh sometimes! I feel like a chump LOL”

.

If one of your followers or fans ever smoked with you, what kind of experience could they expect?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“Hahahaha oh lord idk. I’m fucking weird and say some weird dumb shit. You can expect to be dragged into a deep conspiracy talk, or I’ll ask you all about your life or I’ll tell random ass stories of my life lol. Smoke with me and find out!!”

.

Do you have an all-time favorite strain?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“I love high CBD strains and hazes a lot! Right now I’m loving TJ’s CBD strain up in Oregon & this Blueberry Haze I’ve been smoking from a friend in Cali is AMAZING!!! When I need heavier strains tho I go with a Gorilla Glue or Mad Scientist. Sometimes I just wanna be locked into the couch and knocked out haha.”

.

Your provocative and sensual boudoir photos are as captivating as they are charming. When it comes to cannabis and sexuality, how do you feel one affects, or enhances, the other?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“That oral stuff!! Smoking is sexy looking cause it’s all centered around the mouth and these dreamy, seductive eyes looking up at you through the smoke with these pouty, sucking lips … come on 😉 they just go hand in hand so well together!”

.

Your IG bio declares that you’re a “medicine grower”. Does that mean that you’re growing your own weed? If so, we’d love to hear about your garden! What strains are you planting?  How does it feel to cultivate your own plants?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“Ah yes! I’ve been growing weed for 5 years now! 3 on the low and the other 2 in Oregon professionally. I prefer personal backyard growing though for sure. In my backyard this year I didn’t have much time so I only planted two, Hawaiian skunk haze and Harley-tsu. I’ve never tried the haze yet! It’s curing back home and I can’t wait to try it!! It’s supposed to be a nice, active buzz. Productive and happy/ I like those things haha. She smelled great the last time I saw her! Harley-tsu is a Strong CBD strain I’ve always been a fan of. It makes me super giggly and light feeling. Everything is great and funny and it helps my body pain/stomach pain sooo much! I love growing my own weed. It was one of the main reasons I moved to Oregon so I wouldn’t have to worry about gettin arrested for growing my own plants. I also grow herbs and roses which is medicine too!”

.

How much do you agree that your provocative modeling and burlesque experience comes from a place of empowerment and feminism? Could you elaborate on what that means to you, if it’s something that you resonate with?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“I guess it does. I really just wanna live a life I’m happy with and not let anyone or anything get in the way. I was bullied aloooot growing up and it really sucked and fucked up my perception of me. Modeling has helped me see the real me for who I am. Inside and out. We have these weird benefits being a woman… like ladies nights at clubs and I’ve def gotten more free drinks at the bar then my dude friends because of my looks and gender but at the same time we’re ridiculed for being sexual? That’s ridiculous. I’ve always had the mindset people are gonna talk bad on you no matter what you’re doing and people will always try to hold you back in some weird way cause of their own problems… don’t let anything stop you from being happy. Ever. Woman, Man, dog, alien WHATEVAAAAA I’m just out here trying to live a life I’m happy with so when I look back on my death bed I don’t catch myself saying ‘Damn I wish I didn’t care so much and wish I did more'”

Is there any question that you often receive from your fans and followers over and over again? If so, what is it? Do you want to settle the score once and for all, and answer that question here?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“Hahaha oh wow I don’t know where to start. Def the suicidegirls question and how babes can sign up. I honestly get a lot of the same dumb, basic questions. Yes my tattoos hurt but I like it and it hurts less than emotional pain. I have 17 piercings. Idk what my sexuality is and idc so you shouldn’t either. If I vibe with you in general that’s special. And if I sexually vibe with ya that’s even more rare- so that’s that… and no I won’t marry you. I barely get weed questions so this was fun and different *lol*”

.

What’s something interesting/funny/strange about you that no one following your account knows about you?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

.

“I make really weird noises and squeaks a lot, I’m like a walking sound effect machine and I think it embarrasses and scares my friends. I shake my leg to sleep (and most of the time I’m sitting still, but using my brain like rn). Something funny? One time I tried to go on a juice cleanse diet thing and did no research about it except the benefits of what I was drinking and I ended up gaining like 10 pounds of sugar weight cause I’m an idiot but I thought I was being smart? Idk hahahah”

.

Anything you want to say to your weed-loving fans and followers in Sacramento?

Kolas - Kolas blogs - circa suicide

“Hang out with me and show me around when I come through!! Bring blunts!! Oh and I love you I love you stay true, stay lifted!!”
